Donald William Tate

I served in Vietnam as an infantryman across four units: 1ARU; 4RAR; 2nd D&E Platoon; and 9RAR. I was wounded in action with 7 Pl ‘C’ Company 9RAR on July 19 1969 attacking a Viet Cong bunker complex on Operation Hat Dich. After more than two years in hospital I became an English/History teacher in NSW. I am the author of two books- ‘The War Within’ and ‘Anzacs Betrayed’. Both books deal with contentious matters of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War.
