    You have totally missed that 3 Troop of A Sqn 3 Cavalry Regiment together with a company of infantry was dispatched by 1 ATF into the Ba Ria township and came up against the entire D445 battalion.

    Please locate the commanders diary and or read ‘The Scorpion Stings’

     

    This seems to be a great effort but only if the history is accurately reported and backed up by documentation.

    Hi David. It’s not ‘totally missed’ as you claim. It is there on the battle map although there is not much information about it. That’s where you come in. What we would like you to do is use the ‘incident note’ button to add your recollection of events. That way we can fill in any missing data and add to the collective memory.

    David just FYI if you ever have the time/inclination, the 3RAR CO Diaries hold a fair bit of info in the AA reports too (as well as some specifics on limited movements while mounted with 3Cav in the diary timeline). I must have a gander at the 3Cav diaries sometime. Cheers
