I went on R&R to Hong Kong with an Officer for 6 days. April 66. (One extra because the VC attacked Tan Son Nhut.) He was given a MC when we returned for an action that happened while we were on R&R. (Rollingstone) The Company kicked up a stink & an MM was awarded to the Corporal who deserved it. The Officer got to keep his though.
